2. Scope and Applicable Law

UPSIDE is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for residents of Quebec, An Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25 / Bill 64), in force since September 2023.

3. Information We Collect

When you submit our waitlist form, we collect the following information:

  • —Website URL
  • —Location (city / country)
  • —LinkedIn profile URL
  • —Approximate annual revenue (range selection)
  • —Email address

We do not collect payment information, government identification, or sensitive personal data as defined under Law 25.

4. Purpose of Collection

We collect your information solely for the following purposes:

  • —To register your interest and place you on the UPSIDE waitlist
  • —To send you a confirmation of your registration
  • —To contact you regarding early access to our services
  • —To send periodic newsletters and product updates, with your explicit consent

By submitting the form, you consent to receiving a confirmation email and being contacted by UPSIDE. You separately grant permission for newsletter communications at the time of form submission.

5. Data Retention

Your personal information is retained for a maximum of 18 months from the date of collection. After this period, your data is permanently deleted unless you have become an active client of UPSIDE, in which case a separate agreement governs retention.

6. Third-Party Processors and Cross-Border Transfers

Your data is processed by the following third-party service providers on behalf of UPSIDE. Some of these providers are located outside Canada, including in the United States. By submitting your information, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions with different privacy laws than Quebec or Canada.

  • Google LLC — Analytics (Google Analytics) — United States
  • Meta Platforms Inc. — Advertising pixel (Meta Pixel) — United States
  • LinkedIn Corporation — Advertising pixel (LinkedIn Insight Tag) — United States

UPSIDE does not sell your personal information to any third party.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

This website may use analytics and advertising technologies including Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, and LinkedIn Insight Tag. These technologies collect anonymous or pseudonymous data about your visit, including pages viewed, time spent, and referral source.

A cookie consent mechanism will be implemented prior to the activation of any third-party tracking pixels. Until that time, only essential, functional cookies may be set by our hosting infrastructure.

8. Your Rights

Under PIPEDA and Law 25, you have the right to:
